Haddock a la Veracruzana
Last week Morgan and I ventured out to DC's harbor to stock up on fresh fish from Captain White's Seafood City. I wanted to try the Sea Bass a la Veracruzana recipe from Steve Raichlen's Big Flavor Cookbook. Steve described this as one of the most famous fish recipes in Mexico and after trying it I can see why. The market didn't have any sea bass on hand so I bought fresh haddock fillets instead. Fresh white fish topped with a bold tomato sauce infused with cinnamon, cloves, pickled jalapenos, green olives, and capers proved to be a winning combination. If you are looking for a fast, flavorful, and healthy dinner than you must give this recipe a try.
